Parkland, FL. June 18, 2010. Jay H. Guttveg has been awarded the prestigious South Florida Meeting Professionals International (SFMPI) 2009-2010 “Supplier of the Year” Award.

Jay H. Guttveg has been an active member since 2004 and has not only provided, but also donated photography and video coverage to many of the chapter’s events. His involvement includes the Membership Recruitment Committee 2005-2006, Awards Banquets 2007/08, 2008/09, 2009/10, VP of Communications 2007-2009 and VP of Leadership Development 2009/10.  This year Guttveg will serve as the VP of Administration 2010/11.

In his first term as VP of Communications, Guttveg and his committee recreated the SFMPI website, changing the look and adding new features and functionality, implemented new procedures to execute and expedite communication requests, helped develop and execute new joint magazine Florida Connects, and co-founded the e-zine Tropic Topics.

Guttveg accepted his award at the SFMPI Awards Banquet and Installation Dinner, held Friday June 18, 2010 at the Weston Diplomat Golf & Spa. It is the chapter’s most prestigious and well-attended event of the year, where just five awards are given to the most outstanding members.

The vote went out to the entire SFMPI chapter and when it was returned, the verdict was in: Creative Focus Inc. was the winner. And with good reason. Owner Jay Guttveg has been an active member since 2004 and has not only provided, but also donated photography coverage and video coverage to many of the chapter’s events. He sponsored the 2006-2007 Awards Banquet, and has worked on several committees including the Awards Banquet for two years and Membership Recruitment Committee 2005-2006.
